St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church  

Our Rector, the priest in charge of St. Michaels, is The Rev. Ann Lukens, who officiates and preaches at most services.

 The Rev. Ann Lukens has been rector of St. Michael's since December, 2000.   At the time Ann was called, we were seeking a leader of leaders, someone able to inspire confidence, provide spiritual guidance, motivate volunteer ministries, communicate effectively, and care compassionately - all with good humor and warmth.  Ann+ was seeking a congregation ready to relish the deep joys of Christian life, poised to appreciate its own gifts and realize its own potential.  The relation that we share has been good for all of us.

Ann brings broad experience in volunteer ministry to her work.  For twenty years prior to ordination, she served the community in education, transportation, and human services, and served the church in children's ministries, music, and administration.  Since her ordination in 1993, she has taught in the Diocesan School of Theology and served on the Diocesan Council.

Ann and her husband Terry have three adult children and two of the most adorable grandchildren God ever created.

From time to time, she is assisted by The Rev. John Schaeffer, who has happily joined St. Michael's, following 35 years of active ministry in the western Washington area.
