Youth Activities

Our youth group welcomes kids in grades 6-12.  We meet during the school year on the first and third Sunday of each month from 6-8 pm in the lower level of the church.

"Today more than ever, youth need and want a safe and comfortable place to come and just be themselves. They want to be with friends and have fun.  We enjoy working on projects that will benefit others, and give something back to the community.  What better way to serve Christ in today's world than letting our youth know there's a place of Christian love for them?"   Lori Birrell, Carol and Peter Kakoczky and Byron Murgatroyd, Youth Leaders

Meetings focus on fellowship, education through discussion, sharing a meal, and having fun.

Other activities include outings, serving Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, helping with the St. Nicholas breakfast, and a yearly project. In December of 2002, the youth group very successfully collected dozens of winter coats and blankets and delivered them to St. Mary and Martha's in Pike Market. While there, we wandered the Market, and then spent several hours getting to know the folks served by this mission to Hispanic men. During 2003-4 we'll be one of the three parish teams responsible for preparing and serving meals for the Issaquah meals program.
