New Construction!

These are exciting times at St. Michael’s! During 2008 we clarified our mission—Bringing Faith to Life in the Heart of Issaquah—and we involved 150+ parishioners in developing a five-phase Vision to accomplish it:

• Celebrate living liturgies that draw on our Anglican heritage in fresh ways
• Serve as a base camp that equips Christians for faithful living
• Support adults and children in learning to live their faith together
• Foster a climate of caring that runs through us and into the world
• Support competent and visionary leaders who will guide us into the future

Still our current facilities will only let us go so far, so we have developed plans for a new program wing across the face of our church. New construction will upgrade our nursery and Sunday School space, provide meeting facilities for various committees and groups, open up a friendly area to socialize before and after services, give our choir their own place to rehearse and store supplies, and conveniently locate spacious restrooms on the main level.

Funding and construction preparations will continue through the fall of 2009, with construction anticipated for 2010.
