FESTIVE EVENTSSt. Michael’s is known for its good times that gather everyone for brunches, buffets and dinners that pack our newly-expanded parish hall. Each September a potluck brunch marks our patron saint’s day, and in October All Hallows’ Eve fun-and-games cap off the month. In November the choir treats everyone to a festive harvest dinner complete with unique serenades, and December opens with a St. Nicholas breakfast. The month closes with a brunch that fetes families reunited for the Christmas holidays. In the New Year the Winterfest dinner welcomes the newest members into our fellowship, and on the final Sunday before Lent “Fat Sunday” fun-and-games help all ages mark the turn toward Ash Wednesday. The Mother’s Day brunch each May proudly presents a buffet that rivals the finest restaurants. At summer’s end the annual Silvers & Sages luncheon honors the most seasoned members of the congregation. Of course there are simpler celebrations as well, such as the coffee and cookies reception that follows the Messiah Sing-Along each Advent, the ice cream social that crowns the Sunday School year, and the weekly coffee hours that follow worship. |
